Check out this brand new video for Paisley and Pastel by Freelove Fenner, the third single off their now sold out Pineapple Hair E.P. Digital copies are still available at bandcamp.

Tiny Mix Tapes premiered the video this afternoon, with the following kind remarks:

Freelove Fenner is the Montreal trio I so unabashedly declared my like for in a letter that was somehow published on Tiny Mix Tapes. Well, for all you gossipers out there: it’s been a little over a month, and I’m happy to say that I’m still in like with them. Actually, it’s getting pretty serious, guys. Hangouts with the Pineapple Hair EP are on the daily, and even after all this time, it’s like we still have new things to show each other. Like this video for “Paisley & Pastel,” one of the short tape’s strongest moments, with those melodies curling through the crimson hue like ribbons of sweet clove smoke. Just more greatness from a great tape that is unsurprisingly out of stock from the label, but is available digitally. The band has a full-length in the works, so keep a keen eye out for big things to come.

Freelove Fenner - Workshop

First heard about these guys from yvynyl about a month n half ago, and was blown away by the track Pineapple Hair. Clocking in under 1:30, Mark was sure right about the only problem about that song was it ended too early. Most unfortunately, the same can be said about their Pineapple Hair E.P. which doesn’t even break 11min with 6 tracks.

They remind me of Fear of Men (especially in this track specifically), and if nothing else, Freelove Fenner has followed their format of withholding with this cassette. FOM released two 4 track cassettes, both under 10min, followed by 7”s leaving us (me) consistently wanting more. At least FF have another album worth or tracks to dive into…a whole >18min more of music.

Srsly music this good, with a release this short, is just pure torture.

Freelove Fenner - Pineapple Hair E.P. is Ltd to 100 professionally dubbed blue cassettes in black hard shell case with full colour j-card sleeve. It’s available to order now via BnDcMp here. Don’t sleep on this one.
